1. BEGAN AS THE RESULT OF THREE FALSE PROPHECIES.

Baptist farmer-preacher William Miller interpreted Daniel 8:14 to mean the destruction of earth by fire in Spring 1843, Fall 1843 and Fall 1844 before admitting error. EGW blamed the mistake on God covering the error.

2. INVESTIGATIVE JUDGMENT.

Dan 8:14

Unto [beginning at the end of]

two thousand and three hundred  [2300]

days [prophetic years from 457 BC to October 22, 1844]

then the sanctuary [the MHP of the sanctuary in heaven]

shall be cleansed [shall begin to be cleansed from its defilement from the atoned sins of believers brought there by Jesus]

  A. **Jesus defiles the heavenly sanctuary with his blood.

         [[Sacrificial blood always cleans; it never defiles.]]

  B.   Jesus did not enter the heavenly MHP until 1844.     

        [[Jesus entered the MHP presence of God as His ascension.]]

  C.  Jesus has been in the Holy Place until 1844.

       [[Jesus has ministered as high priest in the MHP since ascension.]]

   D. Jesus was on the outer side of the veil until 1844.

        [[Jesus is the veil; there is no wall of partition in heaven.]]

   E. God's sanctuary in heaven has two literal rooms.

        [[It is absurd to describe God's dwelling place this way.]]

   F. Books must first be investigated to determine who to save.

       [[The guilt of believer's sins was washed away at Calvary.]]

  G. Soul-annihilation. Only Enoch and Elijah are in heaven.

       [[Souls of believers go to be with God at death.]]

  H. The guilt-atonement was not complete at the cross.

       [[The believer has eternal security as an adopted child.]]

4. REMNANT CHURCH:  Rev 12:17; 19:10.

The last-day only true remnant church.

  A.  Keeps all the commandments of God, especially the Sabbath.

  B.  Had the Spirit of Prophecy in Ellen G. White

  [[SDAs narrowly define Law as Ten Commandments]]

  [[SDAs see themelves as the only true Israel of God]]

5. NO ETERNAL HELL.

Hell is eternal punishment, not eternal punishing. The souls cease to exist when the body dies. The wicked will be re-created, judged and immediately totally destroyed in the lake of fire.

6. SATURDAY-SABBATH. Genesis 2:1-3; Ex 20:8-11; Mk 2:27-28.

The Sabbath is the sign and seal of God as Creator. All people and all nations are expected to observe the seventh-day Sabbath. The SDA church is spiritual Israel. All last-days events which mention Israel will apply to the SDA church.

7. UNCLEAN FOODS.

Unclean food laws preceded the Law and were not revoked by Calvary in the New Testament. They still apply.

[[Unclean laws were to remind of separation by sanctification; no punishment or sacrifice follow; SDAs wear mixed clothing.]]

8. NO JEWELRY, WEDDING RING. 1 Timothy 2:9

God does not approve of his people wearing jewelry.

9. LYING EVANGELISM TECHNIQUES:

SDAs usually try to conceal their identity when evangelizing until after the Sabbath has been presented. Their literature in doctors' and dentists' office is deceptive.

10. MARK OF THE BEAST. Revelation13:11-18.

Sunday was changed by the Roman Catholic Church and is the seal of its authority over all Sunday-worshipping churches. Sunday blue laws are Satanic. The USA is the false-prophet beast of Revelation 13 and will cause the world to worship the pope in the last days. The USA will lead the world to proclaim death to Sabbath-keepers in the last days. All who worship on Sunday in the last days will receive the mark of the beast and be lost. The second coming of Christ will destroy Sunday-worshippers and rescue Sabbath-keepers. The great last day issue is not the Gospel -- rather it is the Sabbath.

11.  NO ASSURANCE OF SALVATION:

Believers can never claim that they have been saved. When their lives are investigated by Jesus after death even their thoughts and consequences of their sins will be counted against them. Many will be blotted out of the book of life after they die. [[Eternal security texts prove this wrong. John 3:16.]]

12.  END OF PROBATION:

When Jesus has completed his Investigative Judgment of the record books of the righteous dead and living and has determined who is worthy of being saved, probation ends. He ceases his ministry as a priest and prepares to return in glory. During this time (?144,000?) sinless SDAs must stand in the presence of a holy God without a mediator. They proclaim to the universe that God's Law can be perfectly obeyed. Jesus returns to earth, takes the righteous to heaven and kills everybody else. [[This is no probation for believers per Romans 8:1; Heb 9:27-28]]

13.  SATAN IS THE SCAPEGOAT: Leviticus 16

Satan will be the final sin-bearer to forever carry away all atoned sins of believers.

[[Jesus is the sinless sin-bearer per Hebrews 9:28.]]

14.  MILLENNIUM.

During the 1000 years, the Millennium, earth will be desolate and unpopulated as it has its Sabbath rest. At the end the wicked will be raised, judged, attack the heavenly Jerusalem and be destroyed finally in the lake of fire. [[The literal Millennium is when God fulfils his many kingdom promises to national Israel. The Bible does not say that everybody is killed or translated at the second coming. Neither does it teach that the earth is the bottomless pit per Revelation 9:2, 11; 11:17; 17:8.]]
